Frequently Asked Questions
1. How much deposit is required?
$500 to hold dates.
2. Refunds?
120 days full refund, minus $500.
3. Fishing equipment?
We have handlines, yo yo's and one trolling pole.
4. Do you have snorkel gear?
Yes, though we do not have fins for feet larger than size 12.
5. Do you dive with tanks?
No, though, we can make arrangements with a dive company to meet us
at the reef and those that dive have all certification and make arrangements
with the dive company.
6. Do we have cookware, plates, etc, cooking facilities?
Yes, we have full galley and grill. No oven.
7. Do you have kayaks?
Yes, we carry one double kayak and also we bring along a 32 long boat
for 6 rowers.
8. Do you have sheets and blankets?
No, each person is to bring their own set of sheets and blanket and
deck mat if they choose to sleep on deck. We do have pillows, although
you may prefer your own .
9. Do we purchase the food for the menu?
Food is an extra expense, not included in the cost of trip. We encourage
each crew to purchase their food at one of three local food stores.
We do have a suggested menu for groups. We will purchase food at an
additional cost of $250.
10. What else do we supply?
We supply seasonings, and whatever is available in our galley, so check
with us - maybe we have many items that you can avoid purchasing. Group
would supply charcoal, ziplock bags, drinking water (RO) at 30cents
per gallon, bait, fishing licenses if needed, garbage bags.
11. Showers?
We shower on deck, salt water wash, salt water rinse, and a good hose
shower with fresh water: and yes, we do have an interior shower for
special people (cold).
12. Life jackets?
Yes, we have life jackets.
13. Food storage?
We have aboard two large ice boxes and a freezer.
14. Do we sign a waiver?
Yes, everyone must sign a waiver .
15. Do you accept credit cards?
No, we accept cash, travelers checks or the easiest a certified check.
For deposits we will accept a personal check.
16. Is there parking available?
Yes, parking for cars is available and free.
17.What duties will be required?
There are duties to be posted by each crew: dishes, cooking, and cleanup.
Make a roster to those duties, at least 3 persons on each duty for the
whole day,one of those persons is to be an adult, you may place 4 persons
on the duty if you wish.
18. Do you have Dream Catcher hats and shirts?
Yes, we have a great Dream Catcher t-shirt, long-sleeve and short-sleeve,
with a line drawing of Dream Catcher. Also we have hats with the Dream
Catcher logo. Let us know in advance if you would like to purchase a
shirt or hat.
19. What is the cancellation policy?
Charter deposits are non-refundable except for:
1) cancellations due to the vessel Dream Catcher is not in a functioning
condition
2) cancellations due to named storms as defined by the National Hurricane
Center and/or pro rated as to the number of days at sea previously
paid for less expenses & costs.
3) charters who cancel within 7 days of signing the charter contract,
less a $100 service fee
4) or, if Coastal Sailing Adventures/Dream Catcher is able to rebook
those dates, less a $100 service fee.
